About Us

My photo
Along life's way He has allowed us to share life with each other and loaned us two beautiful children, Noah and Rowen. We believe God's call on our life is to share the Gospel cross-culturally. We currently live in Verona Italy. In order to do what we do, as employees of Avant Ministries, we are responsible to find our own investors for our on-going ministry needs. We are at 89% of the pledged monthly support needed to keep us on the field. If you are interested in supporting or want more information, please contact us. troyt13@yahoo.com

Welcome Home Troy

Troy returned home!!  He was able to make great connections, secure one apartment (that is furnished!), maybe a possible apartment for us (deal is still in the works ...we'll see??), step by step instructions from other missionaries on what to do first, how to do XY and Z, and that gelato is awesome :)  Here are some pics of sights, people, and what apartments look like.

School!!!

So Troy was gone ...and took the computer.  So my update begins: While Troy was OOT, the kids and I held down the fort so Noah could start Preschool!  He LOVES it.  I am so glad he gets to experience (and Rowen by proxy) a school setting here were language and such are familiar before he needs to in Italy.  Once in Verona the plan is that both kids will be in a preschool setting to learn language and make friends while I am in school doing the same.  Troy's trip was a success.  God blessed us with some support and others are praying about partnering with us.  Troy will leave for Verona on Monday (9.20) to research housing and such -be in prayer!  And so I leave you with some pictures of Noah's 1st day of school:
What a big boy he has grown into.

Ready or not Little Hawks, here he comes!

Rowen is happy to get rid of big brother for a bit :)

He is excited and ready
