About Us

My photo
Along life's way He has allowed us to share life with each other and loaned us two beautiful children, Noah and Rowen. We believe God's call on our life is to share the Gospel cross-culturally. We currently live in Verona Italy. In order to do what we do, as employees of Avant Ministries, we are responsible to find our own investors for our on-going ministry needs. We are at 89% of the pledged monthly support needed to keep us on the field. If you are interested in supporting or want more information, please contact us. troyt13@yahoo.com

What is on my mind today.

In my image -literally! She looks exactly like me. She is standing in my shadow.  She is delighting in fellowship with me.  Makes me think of Christ and how we are called to stand in His shadow, and be a reflection of Him, and delight in Him!    I want to live in the shadow, reflection, and delight of the Lord so she sees Christ in me!

We spent our Valentines Day with none other than ...Charlie Brown.

"Perfect Storm" of winter 2011

Yes!  We were in it!  Driving!  In Chicago!!  Just as the blizzard hit in Chicago at 2:30 on Tuesday, January 1, we {and all of Chicago} evacuated -garsh!  It took us 4hrs to travel what normally takes 1hr!!!  It became clear that we would have to stop and continue on in the morning ...so we called some dear friends along the way and spent the night.  Thank you Pat & Randy for such great hospitality!
Visa's have now been applied for ...and now we wait {approx. 2-3 weeks} for the Italian consulates favor/approval.   All you prayers -keep on a pray'n!
